【題目】Introduction to Japanese Culture & Relgions B
【到達目標】This course aims at familiarizing students with Japananese religious culture not only through reading relevant materials in class but also through experience Japanese religious culture by practice.
【講義内容】This seminar will explore the Japanese cultural, religious and ethical traditions that have had essential influences on the formation of contemporary Japan by way of tracing each strand back to its origin. This exploration will be conducted through reading the literature on the relevant topics, discussing topical issues in the classroom, and experiencing some of the cultural and religious practices outside the classroom.
Students will be expected to give oral presentations and write a research paper on one of the themes introduced during the seminar.
