【題目】An introduction of macroeconomics
【到達目標】Upon successful completion of this introductory course, the course participant should be able to:
1. Analyze economic theory including introductory basic principles of economics, National Income Accounting, aggregate demand and supply, price fluctuations, employment, government fiscal and monetary policy
2. Demonstrate knowledge of the role of money in a society and relate money to the functioning of the banking system
3. Compare and contrast current macroeconomic issues for importance on the overall Japanese economy, and its impact on your life, present and future
4. Relate and assess the historical evolution of the concepts of economics from the classical school through the post- Keynesian era
【講義内容】Macroeconomics is the study of aggregate economic activity. The typical principles level course in macroeconomics provides a survey of methods for measuring macroeconomic activity and outlines basic models of the interrelationships between key macroeconomic variables such as gross domestic product (GDP), employment, unemployment,interest rates, various government economic policies. The purpose of Principles of Economics Theory B is to understand how macroeconomics theory apply the real world economy.

【評価方法】Class attendance (10%), Short-quizzes (10%), Mid-term Examination (30%), and Final Examination (50%). All class participants are required to take both of examinations. In the event you experience a problem that prevents you from taking completing any of these, it is your responsibility to notify me in advance. At the first class, I will explain the class evaluation in detail.
